Our Founder, Dato’ Mah Weng Kwai, was previously the president of the Malaysian Bar and president of LAWASIA (Law Association for Asia and the Pacific). Dato’ Mah retired from legal practice in December 2009.

Raymond Mah is our firm’s Managing Partner and head of the Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Raymond graduated with first-class honours in Law and Economics from the University of Queensland. He also holds a Certificate of Adjudication from the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration. Aside from his focus on construction litigation and arbitration, Raymond advises and represents clients in a variety of civil and corporate litigation, including property disputes, judicial review and administrative law, probate and administration. Raymond appears regularly in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court of Malaysia.

Lim Jo Yan leads our Corporate & Commercial Practice Group.  Jo Yan graduated from Oxford University and joined us from Wong & Partners (a member firm of Baker & McKenzie International). He focuses on transactional services such as mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, real estate and commercial transactions. Jo Yan also advises on corporate, competition and environmental laws, commercial contracts and regulatory compliance such as personal data protection and anti-corruption. Prior to practising as a corporate lawyer, Jo Yan was a litigator with Shook Lin & Bok, Malaysia.
