The League of Lawyers’ European meeting in 2018 was hosted by our Belgian member, Cairn Legal from 19 to 22 April 2018.
Mr. Bruno Hunziker, Mr. Frank Winand and Mr Guillaume Rue were the speakers of this 2018 meeting. Mr Bruno Hunziker suggested to re-organise the LoL Website and his presentation, “LoL Website Re-Organization” provided practical and useful suggestions to the members.
The second presentation, titled “Doing business in Belgium” was presented by Mr Frank Winannd of Cairn Legal. It was an important and interested topic to discuss during the meeting as Belgium is an extremely attractive place to invest because Belgium is home to many European institutions.
The third speaker of the day was Mr Guillaume Rue of Cairn Legal. The title of his presentation was “General Data Protection Regulation”. The presentation was aim to explain how the regulations protect the data of the investors and to encourage the investors to invest in Belgium.
As the meeting was held in the Capital of Europe, it was focused on the European Institutions (European Commission and European Parliament) and the current state of the trade relations between Europe and Asia.
